EXCELLENTBased on 13 reviewsVerifiedAlejandro C2024-08-23Peace in harmony with nature A beautiful place with lots of nature, where you can relax at ease or take tours on horseback, quad bike, learn the bondai technique, etc. Surrounded by the sound of monkeys and birds, near some beaches, and by the way, very good food. ExcellentVerifiedMía P2024-08-16Best place to stay in! The perfect place to connect with nature!! Beautiful place with lots of flora and fauna to enjoy, with super friendly and helpful staff, very cozy rooms with divine decoration, a great variety of bonsais for sale!VerifiedLeo Rodriguez2024-07-22Cozy stay in between Santa Cruz and Tamarindo We stayed for 3 days and two nights in a Jr Suite and a Family Room as we were a party of 5 with two children. The rooms were very nice, squeaky clean and the A/C worked perfectly. The owners Greivin Sr and Jr were very accommodating during our stay and made sure we were comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was continental style and I personally didn’t get to enjoy the pool but the kids did and they enjoyed it. This is a ver nice place and I would definitely visit again.VerifiedMyriam M2024-07-14Pura Vida ❤️ Wonderful stay with lovely people, we felt like family, very responsive to every question, helpful, Hacienda la Norma is a charming nature place. The family and team organize great tours, riding, birds, quad, Zip-Line, bot to forget the Bonsai Garden and lessons hold by Senior Greivin itself, absolutely to visit and to do 👌 We love this beautiful place, simply TO BE ❤️👌😁❤️Verifiedmilagros b2024-07-12The best place to vacation A beautiful place, close to the beaches, I traveled with my family and we loved it. The rooms are beautiful, very comfortable and spacious. They also have an adventure park. The service was equally satisfactory with the food, they have an excellent breakfast and any dietary exception is taken into account by their chef.VerifiedKendra V2024-07-12It is a beautiful place, it gave me a lot of peace my stay there, very attentive staff and very good people! The absolute best place to stay in Costa Rica! I’ve recommended it to all my friends. Great food, atmosphere, and location. Not only is it so beautiful but there is so many fun things to do. If you’re in between a couple places.. chose hacienda la Norma! You won’t regret it.VerifiedJudi R2024-03-13Pura Vida at it's finest❤️ Perfecto! While we found out about this very magical Finca too late to book our stay (but we will certainly stay here next time!), we did spend two days with its incredible people taking to the trails on horseback and on ATVs. These excursions were truly magical - winding through the farm fields (complete with horses, bulls and cows as far a your eyes can see) and high up into the mountains with the most beautiful vistas. If it was this spectacular in dry season, I can only image what it must be like when everything is in bloom and green and filled with rivers and streams. Howler monkeys galore, walking trees, stopping for breaks to sample declicious Marañón fruits, and learning so much about the environment around us helped to make our time at Hacienda La Norma so very special. We did get to see some of the rooms and they are gorgeous. We also were treated to a delicious authentic Costa Rican lunch that was amazing. The hotel grounds are stunning, the rooms, which we were able to explore, were amazing and the saltwater pool which looked to be so refreshing and relaxing - all would make staying here a wonderful experience. And when you stay, make certain to explore Greivin's Bonsai plant collection which add an extra special touch around the property. Highly recommended - we will definitely be staying here in the future. Special thanks to Sam, Greivin, Rinaldo and Wilmer (not certain spelling correct so apologies if not) for making our time with you PURA VIDA!VerifiedMGMora-Mora2024-03-10I would gladly return... The hotel is very nice and everything is very clean. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, like the rest of the hotel. I think the restaurant part lacks a little more variety, but the breakfast was delicious. We did not do any of the activities offered by the hotel, due to lack of time, but I consider that it is located in a good place, since there are many beaches around to visit.VerifiedKarina S2024-01-03Expectations more than exceeded. 100% recommended!!! I found Hacienda la Norma for the sake of God to plan our family vacation to end 2023 and start 2024. We needed 3 rooms for 9 family members. We arrived as strangers and left feeling like we had spent time in the home of relatives who opened the doors of their home to us. The hotel is a boho boutique with beautiful and careful decoration, clean, comfortable rooms, and the service totally exceeded our expectations. If you are expecting a score of 100, let's say that theirs exceeds everything one would expect. They go the extra mile in every thing, service, request or interaction with their guests. The place is spectacular, full of nature, peace and harmony. We stayed 5 nights and we were able to do a horseback riding tour, canopy, challenge course, quad bike and we were days away from continuing to enjoy such a majestic place. We left because we had to return but we could have stayed if we had the time. The owners of the place said goodbye to us and with them a family of howler monkeys who made our day. The place is full of surprises. The food was spectacular, homemade, fresh ingredients and delicious seasoning. Thank you very much and we hope to return soon.
